Files are written to the incoming SSD in resumable chunks. The server verifies every file before it is eligible for the cache and the future HDD archive.

The permanent archive card will remain offline until the 8 TB HDD is mounted at /srv/mri-archive. No cache copy is evicted unless an independently verified archive copy exists.
